Analysis Critical Thinking Ability and Environmental Care Attitude of Junior High School Students on Global Warming Material

This study aims to determine the critical thinking skills of seventh grade junior high school students on global warming material at SMP Negeri 29 Medan in 2021/2022 Academic Year, and attitude caring for environment towards material. type research is descriptive with mixed methods. The population consisted 8 classes sample 2 classes, namely class VII-7 VII-8 62 students. sampling technique used random sampling. data collection a HOTS-based essay test instrument totaling 12 items, an interview 7 questions, environmental care questionnaire 15 statements, also observation sheets learning tools. results showed that students' could be categorized as low average percentage score 47.50. Factors influence are situational factors dispositional factors. most influential factor accountable factor, while habituation practice. VII year can not 49.78.
